Versailles: Miss the Crowds - Enjoy the History

Want to learn the history of one of the most popular tourist sites near Paris? I'm not talking about the Eiffel Tower nor the Arc de Triomphe. I'm talking about the Palace of Versailles, the prized residence of the Sun King, Louis XIV.

If you're planning a visit to the Palace of Versailles, do yourself a favor and read my article on Paris-Insider.com before you go. It will give you a deeper understanding of the history and appreciation for all that you will see on your visit to the Palace. In addition, because this spot is a tourist magnet, you'll want to miss the crowds in order to appreciate and experience the Palace in all its grandeur. My article provides information on how to do just that.

Bon Voyage!

  1. Great article. I plan to go there next time I visit Paris and will keep your advice in mind (or revisit for a refresher)

  2. Since you told me before that July might not be a good time going to Paris due to school holiday. What would be the best month to go there then cause I was actually thinking about exploring the patissarie experience like trying out well-known bakeries and cafes? Definitely would hate the July's crowd..
